A lot of this is based on what my BFF Leslie (who is, as I said before, a biologist going for her PhD, so the bitch knows what she's talking about) worked out with me. Our theory isn't the absolute only one, mutantcy COULD be the result of incomplete penetrance, for example, but that's so far out of my league that Leslie herself would have to come on here and explain it to you. I do think our theory is the easiest way to explain how mutantcy could be inherited and how mutates could have their S-gene artifically activated.
