Who should Spidey marry next?

So it looks like Marvel's doing their level best to retcon the Peter/MJ marriage as of Brand New Day. But we all know our emo boy isn't going to stay a swinging single for long. So who should Peter Parker marry now?

Lack of Eddie breaks my heart (OTP, dammit!) so I voted for Electro. He's a pussy, he'll do what Pete tells him to do and when Venom shows up to claim what's him, he'll run, leaving Pete all to Eddie. Yay :P

Daredevil/Spider-man is clearly Bendis' OTP, but I forsee a shipper war with Brubaker (who's a DD/Iron Fist shipper).

...I voted for Daredevil anyway, although I don't think there's any need to retcon Milla away; she's well on her way to being One More Dead and/or Evil Daredevil Ex.

Here's what I think. One More Day is about Aunt May dying and the hype for the story implies that Peter's marriage to MJ is threatened somehow. Along the way, Quesada promised one of three people would die: May, MJ, or the Black Cat.

So I'd bet the farm on a SWERVE~!, wherein May lives, MJ stays married to Peter, and Black Cat dies simply because it's shocking because it's the one option they never hyped.

Bottom line is that for all people talk about getting rid of Aunt May or MJ, nobody has the balls to actually do it. Which is fine by me--I don't particularly want them to shit, but I wish they'd get off the pot then.

Black Cat dying would be lame though. How long has it been since she has had any relevance in the Spidey books? I think killing her would piss off a bunch of fans too, as she has a cult following. You can't really say that for Aunt May (though MJ does have a pretty strong fanbase.)

From a thematic standpoint, May has to die. The tragedy of Peter's life has always been rooted in the fact that his actions have repercussions. Outing himself was an irresponsible move, and it needs to cost May her life to continue the theme.

Which goes to show how little faith I have in Quesada or Stracyzinski at this point. Anyway, if I've learned anything from watching pro wrestling and reading overhyped comics, it's that a writer has no problem employing a lame plot twist as long as he catches his readers flatfooted. Thor Clone, anyone?
