Heh! Well, this is a first draft and by no means exhaustive. When I first got into fandom, back in the late '90s, everything was Xfic, with a tiny smattering of DC. Xfic is still trucking along, but DCfic really exploded when LJ came about. General Marvelfic, including slash, has only really began developing in the last couple of years.
