Reasons why TBolts should have an active fandom, and why it doesn't

Reasons why:

1. They all have bodies like unto Greek gods.

2. Genis flies around mostly naked.

3. Blatant subtext between Zemo/Fixer and Blizzard/Speed Demon ripe for slashing.

4. Swordsman wears thigh-high boots. Plus, semi-canonical twincest.

5. Premise, 'villains strive to become heroes', perfect breeding ground for OH THE ANGST.

Reasons why not:

1. Ambiguous morality too complex for itty brains of most fanbrats.

2. Would require reading something other than X-titles.

3. All major characters, aside from the mostly-absent Jolt, are safely past high school and thus rendered bland and sexless.

4. Zemo is vengeful, machiaveillian scion of evil Nazi villain. More damningly in the eyes of fanbrats, he wears a lot of magenta.

Any subtlety at all is lost on fanbrats. All they would see is a bunch of boring grown-ups. Zemo is not bishie omg!

See, even though I would love for TBolts to have an active fandom, I know the inevitable result: TBolts in high school AUs. And oh, it would be so crappy. Moonstone and Joystick as cheerleaders. Atlas as the jock. Songbird as the slutty girl with the heart of gold. Abe as that kid from shop class. Fixer as MMORPG-addict gamer. Zemo as weepy poet emoboy. Oh god, I think I just threw up a little in my mouth...
