Nate's brain is scrambled. Not as bad as Genis', but he's not all right up there. He's also projecting things onto this world without meaning to -- hence Peter showing up at the bridge, reawakening the mutant powers, thoughts and memories bleeding from one person to another (like Peter knowing the details of Nate's death). I'm going to explain more later, but that's just a quick note so it doesn't seem completely whacked out, ya know?
