The stuff behind the scenes was every bit as weird. As much of a Bible-thumper Dustin Rhodes is IRL, he came up with about half this stuff himself. Did you know the reason he got fired from the WWF/E the first time was because he tried to get Vince McMahon to buy him breast implants?

The breast implant story has been vouched for by a few people, including JR, so I think its true even if Dustin Rhodes himself stays mum on the subject.

The whole saga of him as Goldust is really interesting -- Scott Hall, who played Razor Ramon, was so freaked out by him that he refused to wrestle Goldust, and halfway through their planned feud, he came out to the ring drunk and started legitimately punching Dustin like a madman. Then he got on the mic and gave a slurred speech that didn't really make any sense, except that it was by far the most homoerotic part of the whole thing ("I want your ASS!"). Maybe I'm just really sheltered, but what in the hell is bisexual fetish porn, if TAFKA Goldust even slightly resembles it? I would have just assumed it was regular fetish porn, only you don't have to ignore half the participants.

At the time, I couldn't stand TAFKA Goldust, because the only thing about Goldust I really got was that he was gold, and then they quit having him do that. Cody Rhodes is Best Rhodes.
