*chortles* I made it onto wank_report on Journelfen! All I got to say is hells yeah. I have yet to make my fandom_wank debut but I am sure it is coming someday. I've only been in fandom about twelve years, it's inevitable that I will piss off someone, somewhere. As for what I was 'wank reported' for, it was -- surprise surprise -- my refusal to warn for pregnancy. Although my would-be wankee got something wrong when s/he claimed that I said that I don't "have time" to warn for pregnancy. The fact of the matter is that I have plenty of time to warn for pregnancy, I'm just too much of a fucking bitch to do it. If you're gonna wank me, wank me for the right reasons.

Actually, I would much prefer being wanked for something I wrote or did as opposed to something I refuse to do. But I don't have the energy to create a sockpuppet army and pseucide is so *last week*, chirrens. Y'all got any good ideas?

It took me a while to find it, and most of the commenters were on your side, at least in principle. I don't know what the process is, but if it hasn't appeared on f_w after two and a half months, it probably never will.

What I find astonishing is this notion that everyone should "accommodate other people in miniscule, tiny ways", in order to be "decent people". There are entire television shows which ridicule religious figures, depict graphic violence, and occasionally show pregnant women on a regular basis. They don't necessarily lead off with detailed warnings or disclaimers. Are they obligated to shut down in the name of decency? What is decent? What is "miniscule"?

My advice is to find a good "Come At Me, Bro" macro and post it whenever someone takes offense.

You and me both, but I think that's because we are living in the real world. Quite a lot of people in fandom are only barely acquainted with the real world, or have heard but whisperings of it, as though it t'were a dream.

I have a good idea for a macro, just as you suggested, and I hope to get it up soon. :)
