Jun. 9th, 2007 10:31 pmComment to this post with the name of a character that I have written in fic. Or geeked out about.
I will comment telling you the following:
a. What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her.
b. One of his/her best traits.
c. One of his/her worst traits.
d. How easy/difficult I find it to write the character.
e. The story/chapter/paragraph/phrase where I feel that I truly captured the character*.
f. My plans (if any) to write the character in the near future.

Date: 2007-06-10 05:45 pm (UTC)b. Matt is spiritual, incredibly brave, and passionate. If he hadn't become a superhero/attorney, I think he would've made an amazing physician with his superpowers and personal attributes.
c. Matt is mentally unstable (almost certainly bipolar, plus abandonment issues) and he has a weakness for dangerous women.
d. You have to keep Matt's blindness in mind whenever writing him -- he identifies people by scent and heartbeat instead of by hair color, he doesn't see the storm clouds but feels the air pressure change as a thunderstorm approaches, and he uses his fingers rather than his eyes to read the newspaper. He lives in a rich sensory world that does not include sight. He can be a challenge to write!
e. I'm rather proud of The Landing Gets You (http://community.livejournal.com/slashthedrabble/416899.html#cutid1).
f. I've rarely written Matt from inside his head, and I should do a spotlight story on him someday.
