Jul. 24th, 2006 05:04 amThis article on Childfreers might be one of the most awesomely funny things I have seen yet on the 'Net.
Moos can only dream of their children growing up to become bitter, angry jerks who hate their parents and spend their time on livejournal.

The anti-vegan people are famous for being frothing at the mouth rabid freakishly angry specimens of humanity. The anti-fat people are the same.
One of the most back stabbingly bitchy RPers I ever had the mispleasure of dealing with is an active member of an anti-vegan comm and an anti-fat comm, and in retrospect, looking at her posts there, she forms a perfect Trifecta of Bitchiness, and it doesn't surprise me in the least she was so much trouble.

Date: 2006-07-24 09:31 pm (UTC)It's either that, or the hardcore childfreers live in a parallel, but seperate, world called Breed-Or-Die-istan, where everyday is an endless round of abuse from breeders, who will harrass any childless woman to pump out as many babies as possible. I must somehow avoid living in this world, because despite being a female of childbearing age, I never experience this harrassment.
I don't think it's psychologically healthy to hate ANY group blindly, whether they're children, old people, obese people, Jews, Mexicans, whatever. And for GOD'S SAKE I am not saying childfree people should become parents. Furthest thing from it. If anything, communicating with them has me in full support of their position that they should remain childless.

Date: 2006-07-25 04:52 am (UTC)Me, I don't really have any problem with vegetarians/vegans. Although it really bites my ass when some of them claim not to eat meat because of moral reasons, then you see them scarfing down some mahi mahi or a chicken leg. Look, I don't care if it's technically not meat, that thing was flopping around till you whacked it's head off.
I really felt sorry for the veggie tourists I met in Turkey. Turkish food has lots of vegetables in it, but it's all cooked in animal fat or meat stock. The Turks aren't quite sure what vegetarianism is, except that it's possibly some sort of sexual deviancy.
